We join our brothers and sisters at the Angleton Police Department in mourning the loss of Sgt. J.D. White, who died in the line of duty this past Sunday while escorting a funeral procession.

Sgt. White served the Angleton community with honor for 19 years. He was known not only for his professionalism and leadership, but for the compassion he showed—especially in his work with children through the Shop with a Cop program.

His passing is a tremendous loss for Angleton and for the law enforcement community across Texas. We extend our deepest condolences to Sgt. White’s family, his colleagues, and all who knew and loved him.

Rest in peace, Sgt. White. Your service will not be forgotten.
