Students are moving right along on their fender project. They are fixing dents and then priming the fenders. Next they sand them smooth and get them ready for the next step.

Some 2nd year students are cutting up coupons from sheet metal in preparation for our welding curriculum with the first year students.

Our students have been learning about dent pulling and repair the past few days. Hammer and Dollie and the dent puller were some of the techniques used.

Our students got the paint room and booth all prepped and new booth coating applied for the new school year.

Work-Based Learning: Destyni, an Auto Body Repair student, is working at Alderman's Chevrolet. Destyni is an MSJ senior who is in her second year at Stafford.

As the new starts, the paint room deserves a fresh coat of white spray liner. This is a good way to get the students right into using a spray gun

This is the last project to leave the program, and it marks the completion of a restoration that has been ongoing for the past three school years. We are excited to finally see this car returned to its former glory.

From what we've been told, the vehicle had passed through two previous owners in the area who, for various reasons, were never able to complete the restoration or get it back on the road. When it arrived in our shop, the students got right to work. Over the years, it became a filler project that students could work on whenever there was downtime between customer projects or openings in the shop schedule.

The students tackled extensive rust repair throughout the vehicle before preparing it for a fresh coat of paint. To complete the restoration, new chrome trim, bumpers, mirrors, and other exterior components were installed, bringing the car back to life and giving it a clean, refreshed appearance.

With the bodywork and restoration now complete, the car is ready to return to its owner's garage, where the final phase of the build will take place. Rather than reinstalling the original powertrain, the owner plans to fit the car with a VR6 engine paired with a manual transmission. Once finished, it should be an incredibly fun and unique vehicle to drive.

We are proud of the work our students put into this project and look forward to seeing the finished car back on the road for years to come.

Well here it is, the students big project for the year they just finished up. This Chevy Nova came in to our shop in bare metal. The students then fixed up some dents, straightened out some panels and put a fresh 2-tone paint job on. The owner will be finishing it up later and we cant wait to see the final outcome.

This has been a project that started last school year that the students have been working on. It's a custom built mini bike with Volkswagen beetle fenders that were sectioned and put together to form a shell then painted and polished.
