Some people leave tire tracks on a racetrack, and some leave footprints on the souls of everyone lucky enough to have crossed their path. 🖤
Billy “Night Stalker” Bishop may have taken his final lap here on Earth, but I believe there are some souls that were never meant to be forgotten, and some legacies that death simply cannot touch.
There is something about the racing family that’s hard to explain to anyone outside of it. The sound of the engines, the smell of the dirt, the friendships built in the pits, and the memories made beneath the lights. We come together because we love the race, but somewhere along the way, we become family. No matter how we may feel about each other at the end of a Saturday night. And when one of our own takes their final checkered flag, the entire racing world feels the silence left behind.
Maybe heaven has its own racetrack, where the engines never die, the dirt never settles, and the souls we thought we lost are waiting for us at the other end of the track.
Rest easy, Night Stalker. Your final lap here may be over, but the mark you left on this world will keep running long after the engines have gone quiet. 🏁🖤
Until we meet again on the other side of the checkered flag.
As for this weekend if you are at Charlotte, or wherever you are , keep the entire family in your thoughts, his spirit alive and WIN ONE FOR BILLY YALL!!
