We noticed many people recording the procession today. If you captured any videos or photos, please feel free to post and tag us, or send them our way.

We deeply appreciate every driver who pulled over, every person and family who paused to pray and show their respect, the fellow wrecker drivers who stood with us, and all the emergency personnel who helped manage traffic and clear the way.

A special thank you to the church for providing a wonderful meal for our family and to Pastor Jim for leading such a beautiful service. Thank you all so much for your love and support during this difficult time.

Just some light humor this morning. Pope County Sheriff's Office and Detention Center is this about right?

Have you ever been pulled over and the cop goes back to the cruiser, and you’re sitting there waiting… and it’s been a bit, and you start thinking “dang, I’m getting a ticket for sure”.
But then another few minutes go by, and you start questioning everything like “did I pay that ticket I got back in 2015? Is there a chance I have a warrant?”
And then another few minutes go by, and you start thinking, “Oh my gosh! He is waiting for backup to come arrest me. I’m going to jail for sure”!
And then another couple minutes go by and you start really questioning everything you’ve ever done in life and what you could possibly be in trouble for… like, maybe the cops knew about that time when you were 16 years old and you hit a couple of mailboxes with a baseball bat out of the back of your buddy’s truck and you could have a federal warrant…
And then the cop comes back and gives you a warning and tells you to have a good day….???
Well, what happened was that cop definitely dropped your driver's license down the crack in the seat between the center console, and it absolutely took him at least 15 minutes to fish it out.

Now you know!

Update: Visitation will be Monday Aug 10th 6-8pm at Cornwell Funeral Home in Dardanelle.
Funeral is Tuesday Aug 11th @ 2pm in chapel with a small graveside service to follow.

On August 4, 2026, Wayne Myers, 77, went home to be with his Lord and Savior.

Wayne is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Sue Myers; his two sons, David Wayne Myers and his wife, Marlena, and Robert Myers and his wife, Jennie; his four grandchildren, Justin Myers and his wife Rachael , Shaelyn Keller and her husband Micah, Kristen Myers, and Madilyn Myers; and his three great-grandchildren.

Wayne was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He will be remembered for his love for his family, and the kindness he showed to everyone who knew him.

He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all whose lives he touched, but they find comfort in knowing he is now at peace with the Lord.

When arrangements are made, they will be published.
