I Finally had some time to spend messing with a 1945 Hall Toledo seat grinder! Every since trade school in 1973 a Souix wet bench has been what I used. Anything under .003 runout on the seat was good,…. So I was taught!
This Hall toledo is “.000” runout!
New stuff looks Cool in a shop,…. I will take 1940’s Quality in machine tools anyday!

Yesterday was an INBETWEEN projects day! So I dedicated the day to an ongoing machine build! My multi use wet honing machine for JR dragster block sleeving, wet Valve guide honing, Connecting rod sizing, Piston Pin hone is off my todo list!!

A few shots of PORT MAGIC on a profiler manifold, no I didn’t flow it on a bench, but I did wetflow with Dykem layout fluid! And the results of that test tell me its moving a lot of Volume and using not only the roofline of the port but pulling a sweril down the walls.

This project did tell me its time to invest in my own FLOW BENCH!!
Soo, another reason to make the Trip this year to the PRI show
