Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Diesel Truck and Trailer Mechanic to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing various types of trucks and trailers, ensuring they are safe and operational for our customers. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical skills, a commitment to customer service, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Perform routine maintenance and repairs on tractor-trailer units.
Diagnose mechanical issues and determine appropriate solutions.
Fabricate and weld components as necessary to ensure structural integrity.
Utilize tools such as forklifts for moving trailers and equipment safely.
Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding repairs and maintenance.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols.
Conduct heavy lifting as required during repairs and maintenance tasks.
Assist in soldering electrical components when needed.
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects.
Experience

Previous experience as a service technician or in a similar role is preferred.
Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience in trailer repair.
Ability to operate forklifts and other machinery safely.
Familiarity with welding techniques and fabrication processes is a plus.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to perform heavy lifting and work in various weather conditions.
A commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship while maintaining customer satisfaction.
