It’s been 25 years!!
I will never forget the very first day of my paramedic class at Tri-County EMS. Our instructor came into teach but he was frazzled by what he had seen on the news. We were a small class and this was before smart phones and none of us had turned on the news that morning as we were all nervous about our first day of the next chapter of our lives.
To his credit, Dr. Stutchner (spelling?) tried to teach us but decided he really wanted to see what was happening with the trade center, so we all filed into an office with a TV that had CNN on. At that point they announced that a second plane had struck the second tower and we watched in real time as events unfolded.
Needless to say our class was canceled for the rest of the day.
This montage is a gentle reminder of what some people experienced that morning.
We want to salute all the men and women who rushed in, many of whom made the ultimate sacrifice, to help there fellow human beings in this insane moment of madness perpetrated by very bad people!
Let us never forget!!
