Heads up this is a long one.
There are a lot of shops out here that work on a lot of Subarus. I’m a little irritated, my quotes are higher than other shops because I have a legit shop space I’m not working out of a garage or at a friends place, or have free rent my shop rate is higher for a few reasons and the cost of keeping the doors open is a big factor. Back to the story I’m tired of cars being taken somewhere else for engine replacements “cause they were cheaper” and then coming here to see what’s wrong with it and why it won’t run…… like come on people your really letting vehicles leave your shops after engine replacements that won’t run?!? And still charging them full price for your work???? Here is an example: just this week I got a forester xt in for Diag it had been at 2 other shops one built a motor and put it in and never got it to run right, second shop Diag’d it and couldn’t find an issue??? So proceeded to charge the customer and tune the car cause that will fix it What? Guess what nope it didn’t and now my customer is out hundreds of more dollars and still no car… I s**t you not the car got here and within 5 minutes the first issue was found, turbo inlet was folded over on itself and not on the turbo, sweet fixed that, smoke machine back on and it’s now billowing smoke out of the bov I thought that was weird so I went to pull it off and see if the gasket was bad and would ya guess it? Only one nut on the bov…. I got another nut and went to put it on just to find the stud was messed up and the threads were junk. So I called the customer and he proceeds to tell me that the last shop asked him to bring them another intercooler cause that one was messed up!!! Wtf sure as s**t there was a new intercooler in the hatch… wow just wow
Anyways the reason of this post if you stayed this long is for the next 10 Subaru builds I do half priced labor on the build. What I guarantee from us to you is that your car will run, we do smoke tests on all our builds once assembled to ensure no issues. You will have a 12 month warrenty on all our labor. Depending on the parts you choose there’s atleast a 12 month 12k mile warrenty on them. And did I forget to mention that if you buy all your parts through us that we will get your car tuned on the house?!? That’s right we now have a top of the line tuner knocking cars out for us!!
