Wether it be listening to my dad talk about his long work day at the dinner table, or getting dirty at the shop playing with greasy tools. In some ways I guess you could say cars are in my blood and my future was predetermined. I currently work for my father, Anthony Tote Sr., as a Head Mechanic/manager at his garage, Tony's Broadway Auto Repair. Heres a little history on me prior to starting MY b
usiness. As a junior in high school (year 2000) I enrolled in the Automotive program at Albany Career & Technical school (Vo-tec). After the first semester here, a select group of students with exceptional progress and understanding in the class, were placed in the General Motors ASEP program. This was an advanced, quicker paced, more hands-on program for those students. Taking these College level classes in my senior year would give me a jump start to a 2 year degree with HVCC. An Associates Degree in Occupational Studies is what I earned over the next 2 years at college. By the age of 19 I had a degree and would be able to work full time at my paid apprenticeship. After graduation, I continued work as a Technician with several different franchise car dealerships over the next several years, full-time, before eventually going to work for Tony's. During my time there, I worked with top technicians in the field, gaining irreplaceable automotive training. After learning all of the theory in college, getting to work in the field with top trained techs was SUCH a privilege. My mentors took their time with me and helped me transform my schooling into hands on success. These and many other lessons I have experienced up until now are what have molded exceptional skills. I get up everyday and put the skills to work trying to help people with their cars everyday. I feel that with the combination of my automotive family background, extensive automotive training & shop experience, that I have things that many used car dealers do NOT...Credentials, Experience, Passion, Expertise....just to name a few. We use these things to help us, help you find a quality used cars and quality auto repair. These are the facts. There are plenty of used car dealers out there.
