KENNA MITCHELL CONTINUES NASCAR NATIONAL HUNT WITH THIRD ROSEVILLE SWEEP OF 2026

ROSEVILLE, Calif. (May 31, 2026) – Loomis’ Kenna Mitchell continued her pursuit of NASCAR national, regional, state, and local points with her third sweep for the Twin 40s for Late Model competition at All American Speedway on Saturday night. The two-time defending NASCAR Berco Redwood Late Model champion won both features before a great crowd for the NASCAR Spring Smash in Roseville.

Mitchell led the way in time trials as the only driver to dip into the 13 second bracket on the one-third mile speedway. That run placed her on the pole for the opening salvo. Mill Valley’s Monty Tipton shared the front row and used an outside line launch to lead the first three laps. Mitchell clawed back to lead lap four and cruise for the first triumph of the night. Colton Nelson of Auburn, Joey Kennealy of Madera, Thomas Martin of Auburn, and Mill Valley’s Monty Tipton rounded out the top-five finishers.

An eight-car invert increased the intensity level for the second 40-lap affair. Long Beach Late Model rookie Donald Witkowski took advantage of the pole position to pace the pack, while a scramble for positions developed behind his No. 20 machine. Mitchell navigated through the field to drive into second by the 14th lap. Hayden Stepps of Oakdale spun in turn one for a caution on lap 15, then Thomas Martin also spun in the same corner. Mitchell used the restarts to nab the lead which she never relinquished. Colton Nelson started seventh and followed Mitchell through the pack, driving into second then defending from 2025 series runner-up Joey Kennealy to hold the spot at the line. Kennealy finished third. Martin and Witkowski were the balance of the top-five.

Utilizing a heavily repaired race car, Chad Nascimento of Manteca won round two for the 2026 INEX Legends at All American Speedway in a non-stop 30-lap race. Friday INEX points winner Rick Andersen of North Highlands, utilizing a brand-new car himself, stayed within a few car lengths for most of the race to finish second. Veteran Roseville racer Randy Fellman was third followed by Stockton visitor Justin Gantt and Chris Justice of Grass Valley.

Defending NASCAR Modified champion Tyler Wentworth of Rocklin won his third feature of the year, keeping Loomis’ Nick Lyons at bay throughout the 30-lap race. Josh Blackwood finished third followed by Jose Hernandez of Rio Linda and Bud Anderson.

The NASCAR Street Stocks welcomed a multi-time champion back to victory lane when Dixon’s Richard Lavallee prevailed. 2025 champion Tim Walters of Dixon and Lockeford’s Sam Reynolds engaged in an exciting and physical battle for second before Reynolds spun in turn one. Lavallee held off Wlaters over the final restart while Reynolds charged back to finish third.

Vic Theberge of Citrus Heights nursed his No. 21v Mini Stock to victory lane in the 30-lap race fo the four cylinder machines. Theberge’s diminutive Honda Del Sol drove away from Lincoln’s Brandon Frantz over the final ten circuits of the race. Vic’s wife Vikki finished third on her birthday followed by Woodland’s Richard Rowland and rookie competitor Casey McLoed of Placerville.

All American Speedway races again on June 13 for the NASCAR Edge of Summer, featuring all four NASCAR points paying divisions plus the INEX NorCal Legends Series and the NAPA Boat Race.
