PSA to our stranded clientele in need of emergency service;
Do not ever call the first or third 1800 number labeled with the town in which you are searching followed by towing and roadside. It isn't a reputable business, it is a 3rd party over charging you. Period. I have had multiple clients as of late that are irritated with me until we speak in depth because someone from overseas has called to confirm service or took payment for a marked up service. That is the risk of securing service with multiple companies, as well. Call one company at a time, ensure its an actual company and DO NOT confirm service with multiple companies to play the "see who shows up first" game. That in itself is a terrible thing to do. It takes time away from other stranded drivers needing help AND our families at home eating without us because we rushed off for nothing. Legitimate after hour calls are plentiful enough, we don't need to add gone on arrivals to our lives that already devote so much time to helping others. 💚
