The Team at Archie's Off Road & Auto Repair Center is proud to serve Wells, Maine and the surrounding areas with Off Road Performance, Auto Repair & Diagnostics. We service all makes and models! We now offer re-gearing for your Truck and SUV!

This week a customer brought us a 2020 Jeep Gladiator for a howling noise and they also wanted to upgrade their gear set up for their 37" tires. Our technician found the rear differential ,inner pinion bearing race excessively worn and front differential plastic shoes on the disconnect actuator fork were badly worn. We replaced the front and rear stock 4.10 gears with Dana Spicer 4.88 gears.

Howling noise is gone and customer is thrilled to be back in their Jeep Gladiator! It looks Great!

We had a customer bring their 2020 Toyota Tacoma TRD! We installed a set of Rough Country monotube 3" lifted front struts. We upgraded the upper control arms with Old Man Emu. We upgraded the rear leaf springs with a set of Quality Old Man Emu springs and replaced the rear shocks with a set of Rough Country lifted shocks. The customer also wanted a cab relocation performed and the tires upgraded to set of Falken Wildpeak AT3 tires.

The customer is Excited to have their Tacoma back for their next adventure and it looks Great!

We are New England's Premier Jeep Service Center!

We had a customer bring their 2013 Buick Encore this past week and informed us that they were hearing a noise from the rear of the vehicle. Our technician found excessive play in the rear differential assembly, which was causing the axle shafts to wear into the differential housing.

The customer approved the replacement of the rear differential assembly and cv axle.

We had a customer bring their 2017 Jeep Wrangler from out of town to have us look at their Jeep for a fluid leak. Our certified Jeep technician found that the previous dealer as well as another independent repair shop had installed the front axle seals incorrectly. This was the cause of the fluid leak. The Jeep also needed ball joints and a couple of steering linkages, which was missed at both of the previous shops.

The customer approved the repairs and is back in their Jeep Wrangler with no more fluid leaks and ready to take on Spring!

We had the opportunity to help out a nice lady with her 2014 Subaru Forester, that just moved to the area of Wells, Maine. She informed us that she had a terrible vibration when applying the brake pedal and that she was told she also needed a cv axle. Our technician found that the vehicle needed brakes all around and the passenger side front cv axle was leaking grease.

The customer approved the repairs and she is back in her Subaru and ready for the Spring Season!
