As I ride sh***un on this trip my heart breaks for these people facing winter with the devastation they have endured and I am so full of gratitude to everyone who helped us with items to make taking a second trip a well needed one. For the people who dropped off so many items in our parking lot Thursday and Friday both new and used, to our employees and Jamie and daughter who helped organize, for Lonnie Hines who helped our fellas load not one but two trailers with items, for the folks who dropped of baby items at the three bank locations, for our two friends who spent two full days of driving for delivery of the many items - we offer our gratitude for expressing your compassion by stepping up and donating as well as supporting our trip. Both this trip and the last trip were graced with some extra ordinary folks who went above and beyond with some huge donations. Mr David your gracious donation of the 15 generators and ten propane tanks our first trip was fantastic! Then to make contact with others who also graciously helped us enabling us to take another 17 generators, a great big Thank You! Now to Mr Dennis a super giving Marine veteran who contacted us wanting to give to the people in need. Your gift of a fully operational Honda 4 wheeler, three almost brand new generators, winter coats, blankets, sleeping bags, and so many other items God Bless you for showing us kindness for those in need! For those giving money, it will be used for replenishing propane as needed with the coming cold months and the balance shared with various organizations serving the people in the very remote areas of the hills in Tennessee & North Carolina. We have witnessed so much compassion and caring in these trips and we are very humbled. God bless all of you and please don’t forget to pray for these folks. This will be a long, long recovery for them!
