Once you get started with Promised Land Homes, the next steps typically include:

📍 Site Evaluation – We’ll take a look at your property and determine what needs to be done to prepare for your new home.

📋 Permits & Approvals – Zoning, septic, building permits and other required approvals are taken care of before construction can move forward.

🏭 Your Home is Ordered & Built – Once everything is ready, your home is ordered from the factory and construction begins!

🚛 Delivery & Set-Up – Your home is delivered to your property, set on its foundation and connected together.

🔨 Finishing Work – Utilities, plumbing, decks/steps and other finishing touches come together.

🔑 Final Inspection & Move-In! – After the required inspections are complete and your Certificate of Occupancy is issued, it’s time to make it HOME!

Trailer, Mobile Home, or Manufactured Home?

A lot of people still use these terms interchangeably, but there IS a difference!

Homes built before June 15, 1976 are considered mobile homes. After that date, new federal HUD construction and safety standards went into effect, and homes built to those standards are called manufactured homes.

Why does the name matter? Because manufactured homes still carry a reputation based on the “trailers” of decades past — even though today’s homes are built to completely different standards.

Manufactured housing has come a LONG way-don’t judge today’s homes by yesterday’s standards! 💛🏡

When shopping for a manufactured home, you may see advertisements for a low home-only price or even “delivery included.” But what happens after the home gets there?

There’s a lot more that goes into getting a manufactured home move-in ready, including:
