Now here's something you don't see every day!

This steering wheel came from a 1940 Chevy Sedan and features a vintage steering k**b—sometimes called a "su***de k**b" or spinner k**b—that allowed drivers to turn the wheel with one hand long before modern power steering became common.

When this steering wheel arrived at CraftCustoms, it had seen better days. Previous repair attempts had failed, the grip area was badly worn, and the wheel was in need of serious attention.

Rather than restoring it back to factory original, the owner wanted something that would complement the custom saddle-colored interior he was building. So that's exactly what we delivered.

We repaired and rebuilt the entire grip structure, added a layer of padding for comfort, wrapped it in premium saddle leather, and even upholstered the steering k**b to match. The result is a one-of-a-kind steering wheel that perfectly complements the rest of the vehicle's interior.
