Tired of swapping parts and getting nowhere with some shade tree mechanic? Look no further, we do not go along with a repair unless we can verify which part is at fault.
-Just finished a 2022 Powerstroke with an egr issue. Had a dtc for egr bypass valve inoperable. Tried to command valve open with scan tool and failed. Tried to manually open it and was very hard to open and close. Took egr valve off of vehicle and found high soot levels in the cooler. Removed cooler and cleaned egr cooler and valve and re-installed. Valve was effortless to move at this point and found vacuum line to egr valve was broken in multiple spots. Made a new vacuum line, installed and valve was back to working like new. Don’t waste money on the wrong diagnosis and wrong repair, do it right the first time.

2000 discovery Freightliner. Went onsite for a concern of rear air brakes not releasing. First repeated the problem by releasing the air brake switch and air brakes did not release. Diagnostics is the first and most important step in any repair. Second made sure brakes were not frozen from sitting. Verified brakes will release from drum. Checked air pressure, air pressure was good. Made sure air tank supply and return lines were not blocked, all was good. Went to rear of truck, air dumping out of valve. Full air pressure before the valve, air was not properly being supplied to rear chambers. Took apart brake valve to find a cracked diaphragm. One new brake valve later and air brakes are back to normal operation. Re-adjusted slack adjusters and customer was on his way. Verified with a last step being the test drive and repair was a success. Please reach out to CDR diesel for any and all repairs. (469)-670-9466.
