Sharing my updated hours for the week ahead.
I also wanted to give everyone a heads-up that I will be closed on Saturdays throughout the month of October.
Saturdays have generally been a quieter day, and I have several personal commitments and arrangements already scheduled throughout the month. Closing Saturdays for October will allow me to take care of those commitments while continuing to keep the shop open Tuesday through Friday.
I also wanted to give a little context for my shorter Wednesday and Thursday hours. My three-year-old son, Theodore, is with me at the shop those two days, so I close at noon to take care of his needs in the afternoon and use his nap time to catch up on office work and paperwork. It’s a schedule that allows me to try and balance being a mom while I continue to run the shop on my own.
I am still accepting new machines, and as always, I’ll do my best to accommodate pick-ups and drop-offs outside of my posted hours when arrangements are made ahead of time.
I’m trying hard to be as accommodating as I can while balancing everything on my own, and thankfully, things have been going pretty smoothly. I know my hours may not always work for everyone, but losing my dad meant a lot of changes happened all at once, both at the shop and in our lives. I’m also still a mom to a young little boy who needs me, and his life changed tremendously too. I truly appreciate everyone who has shown me kindness, patience, and understanding through all of these changes.
