Transmission Myth or Fact?

"If your transmission starts slipping, adding more transmission fluid will always fix it."

While low transmission fluid can cause shifting problems, slipping can also be a sign of worn internal components, a failing torque converter, electrical issues, or other problems. Simply topping off the fluid isn't always the solution- and sometimes it can delay finding the real issue.
The sooner you have it checked, the better your chances of avoiding major repair.
