It ensures the engine is running the correct air/fuel ratios, ignition timing, and idle/part-throttle behavior for the new system. Without proper tuning, even a correctly installed EFI setup can run poorly, lose power, or become unreliable under load.

Getting it tuned right is what turns the conversion into a fully dialed-in, reliable setup.

Why perform a dyno test run before going to the track?

Unforeseen issues are more likely to reveal themselves during testing.

It can be the silliest thing — from charge pipes blowing off due to loose clamps, to more serious problems like a failed secondary fuel pump.

Chewed-up wiring from mice… you name it, it can happen.
