Gransport Cycles - Acclaimed By The Crowned Heads Of Europe. Soooo many hours. This one had been painted quite a while ago. Spent some time polishing it up so I can put it together. This is a variation of a theme. The paint scheme of my personal Lambretta. But the colors of a series II that I painted about 20 years ago for my friend Luis. I am positive I have 10,000 hours in working on these goofy scooters. I am also positive I have not mastered it yet. I’m trying.

This TV 200 had sort of become a fixture of the shop. I’m gonna miss her. Treat her right Mike Wolfe . Full engine rebuild, gear oil turned to tar. Kickstart teeth stripped out on 1st gear. 12v electronic ignition. New harness. New cable inners, ect. Tried to keep as much original as possible.

Happy 50th birthday to my darling wife Heidi. we’ve been together since we were 16. Whenever I hear her car outside or footsteps coming up the stairs coming home, my heart beats a little faster. Every time. Like a sad little puppy. I’m not exactly sure, but I’m pretty sure it was 25 years ago I gave her a GS160 I built for her birthday. 1st scooter I ever built. I had no idea what I was doing. So I guess I can thank her for getting into this mess. All I wanted was a Bonneville…..and a Pepsi.

Customer is coming to take possession this weekend. I always have a hard time letting them go. Literal blood, literal sweat, literal tears go into each of them. Countless hours spent on things no one will probably notice or care. Yet never complete. Constant fretting. Not entirely sure I’m cut out for this. But i haven’t a clue what else I could possibly do. So I guess I’ll just keep on keeping on.

Cool shadows out today. I built this bike several years ago. In with a roasted out clutch. Complete engine rebuild and new Cosa clutch so as not to get roasted this time. I always thought 3 speeds are a blast to ride. Revving out 2nd gear to get to third.

Being a diehard pessimist, it’s very hard for me to admit, it might, maybe be, a sort of beautiful day. I painted this scooter quite a few years ago. Before I had a shop. My uncle would let me use his body shop to do my work. One day an old timer local came in the shop and saw me working on this and he said “are you painting that for a gay cowboy?!” I took that as a compliment as A: he was oblivious to what he was looking at. B: if he thought it was uncool, then I’m doing something right. I strive to be the exact opposite of that dude. C: I don’t want him on my team. “Keep it secret, keep it safe”- Gandalf D: I am positive a gay cowboy would have impeccable taste!

Series 2 1/2 Lambretta built almost 10 years ago. Insane amount of work to make it all work. Back when I had ambition. Series 3 leg shield and mudgaurd. , series 2 horncast, and headset. Pretty much everything had to be cut up into pieces and welded back together for everything to jive. And yes I know the front dampers are on upside down. We were up very late the night before and Dean put them on upside down. We didn’t realize until we got to the rally. Then we just left them that way to f**k with people.
