Please don't be like this customer, (name and personal information hidden on both sides) bought engine, has an issue after warranty expired I try to help we figure out it's casting flash not a crack, Engine issue changes to bottom end failure, headgasket in a bottle, engine running bad. Offer another engine even outside warranty period but need proof of damage, video shows healthy running engine and a drain pan that looks to have been sitting out for 3 weeks (no fresh oil dump like requested). Customer has repeated crash outs even when offered free replacement with proof and no need to send current engine back. Customer wants me to stop responding and just move on with their life so I do only for them to bash me publicly. Customer states no money for oil but buys another vehicle and brags about it publicly 2 weeks later. Customers blocks me after the above things happened while I actively try to help only to unblock me to have another crash out and say I ignored him.
I understand that he is upset and he spent good money on an engine and I have tried to make right of it even given they are outside of the warranty time. I verify engines before they are shipped if I can't I put them in the question pile or they get stripped for parts. I am not free from mistakes though and I will preach that till the day I die. But I need good proof I made a mistake before I will correct it.
How would you guys handle this person? Should I have handled it better? Would you still be trying to help given their attitude and blocking you?
