As I warp up another amazing weekend of racing with awesome people I can’t express enough how much we appreciate people choosing to attended our entertainment venue of competitive RC Dirt Oval racing. Whether it was their first time racing or the 100th plus time we are truly blessed to have people attend. The comradery people find in this activity is amazing.

As I mentioned earlier over the weekend going forward we are not reopening in the future. This weekend was the last event as we close this chapter of our venture. The Hobby Shop was officially closed at the end of the Nationals. We understand some people may have some personal items of theirs around pit areas and we will arrange time with those people to get those in the next week.

While I thought I would have a lot to say personally, really it’s just Thank You!! Thank you, I got to host and make several friendships with amazing people that I would not have gotten without this venue. Thank you, I got to take on a passion for an activity/service with my Dad Tom to start it literally from the ground up after spending years seeing what else was offered around the country. I thank him the most for believing in me enough to push forward with the commitment to build this location along with moving his business to carry the start up. Thank you for allowing me to have my family around in an atmosphere that is very positive and supportive. It has helped tremendously in the growth of my children and wife being able to interact with amazing likeminded people. Thank you for choosing to attend my venue that I operated. God knows I can look back and say well that didn’t work or that was awesome. I felt I always had the reasonable understanding of attendees that the focus was about comradery and entertainment in what they call a hobby and we offered as a venue. The balance was great to work with over the years. Thank you Missy for being so giving at times allowing me to operate the venue over the past 15 years or so. It took an unfair amount of understanding at times and I’m truly blessed to have your support.

We look forward to the time when we cross paths again with our friends in the RC community.

Winter Nats 410 Sprint

Endless power and adjustments makes 410 Sprint a primer class at any track. This weekend our local talent along with some of the best regional and country’s top talent went wheel to wheel.

Working through the 3 rounds of heat racing local talent and all around great racer Wheeler would earn the TQ and pushed the track record just a little higher than the last guy.

Great lower mains would come down to two additional local racers making it into the show.

From the tone Wheeler would lead the field working though racing things and making great choices to stay out front. Shawn would keep him pushing all while keeping an eye on a hard charging Corns who would not give up. Checkers would fly coming off of turn 4 for Wheeler picking up the 410 Sprint Championship.

Winter Nats Super Stock

After a full week of Social Media Bantering all eyes where on the final show down and the Action did not disappoint.

After 3 rounds for qualifying and close times every round Kevin Hager would secure the TQ spot as the fastest Super Stock in the building. We loaded up the mains for the excitement with close finishes bumped cars all the way to the A main with 10 cars. Using a Past Champion provisional the Action Man would bring the storm to our feature.

With the clicker set to 101 laps for the Super Stock Galaxy 101 cent to win check Hager rolled the field off for the feature. Just amazing racing from these guys. Well worth the cost to go watch the replay on the YouTube channel.

The Storm settled when the checkers flew for Adam parking the Wagon on top of the podium, taking home the check and the title Super Stock Galaxy Champion.

Winter Nats 360 Sprint

What a strong field of racing all weekend in 360 Sprint. Filled with local talent these guys compete week in and week out and filled the podium for the hardware.

3 rounds through the day earned Hayden the TQ and would roll off point man. Lower mains the local guys worked their way to bumps to make a Tea’s Local main. Great racing from front to back in the A Main, great Sportsmanship and continuous driving gave us a fantastic race to watch. Congrats to Hayden on walking out with the Championship for 360 Sprint.

Winter Nats 305 Sprint.

Oh ya we know every event 305 Sprint will be close racing. Why, because it’s racers racing each other and not endless options or adjustments. Simple concept, amazing racing.

3 rounds of qualifying went down with Jamari earning the TQ rolling off point man in the A Main. Lower mains where wheel to wheel with close finishes for the transfer spots. Top 5 of these guys all finished on the same lap 3.9 sec apart with Jeff caught by the clock but was also on the lead lap 😉.

Congrats to these racers on a fantastic day of racing and well earned awards for their effort.

Winter Nats Late Model

A pretty stacked field of Late Models again this season. Qualifying was super close with Peters earning the TQ in round 3. Lower main racing got us the fastest rides in the building befor the A Main.

A super fun main to watch from green to checkers. Congrats on the finishing order from these great racers.

Winter Nats Big Body Mod EDM 😯

Yup a small group of guys wanted to wind up the EDM’s so we let them fly around the track all weekend for fun. Come main time and weather for destination trip home we had Riley and Jamari who grabbed the radios of these rocks and went out to play around.

Future hot shoes these two will be in a very short period of time down the road. Hitting lap times in the 3.6 sec range 😯.

While the positions are 1st and 2nd I’m pretty sure there was some cut corners by both 😂but we don’t care. Ice Cream and win stickers where well worth the hooting a laughing we all had.

Winter Nats Hobby Stock

Hobby Stocks where a blast again this season and truly fun to watch. The platform is built to attract people to race it and to watch it.

Heats where packed tight to keep the Action Level high with Kevin Hager earning the TQ through the day. So much fun watching these guys set up corners and rub fenders.

Congrats to all on their finishing spots and thanks for such a fun A Main to watch.

Winter Nats Midwest Mod

Truly a platform for a class that works extremely well on the high bit surface we run on for great close competition.

Through the day racing was outstanding and qualifying was super close with Peters earning the TQ.

Congrats to all these guys for a great race and another season of watching one of my favorite foam tire classes run.

For entertainment purposes and bragging rights we broke out the Action 8 class for between round laughs and to see who would take home the traveling trophy.

While heavily stocked with local regulars and one southerner fender rubs where exchanged and a few big collisions through the X.

Thank you to all for the entertainment and congrats to Goodman on the checkers and taking that trophy for Action 8.
