While working on a customers 1953 Corvette kit car, we were attempting to smooth out the rough running 283 v8 in the car. Upon further diagnostics both cylinder heads were found to be blown out; leaking coolant into cylinders 5&7 as well as 6&8. Don’t forget to check your coolant level to prevent an overheating condition!

Our latest job of the week was a torque converter on a customers 2013 Chevrolet Traverse. The vehicle had quite the shudder at all cruising speeds. It is very important to perform routine maintenance on all of your vehicles systems, servicing the transmission at the manufacturer specified intervals could have helped to prolonged the life of the torque converter. We had a customer come in for a check engine light illuminated and a rough running condition. We found that cylinder #6 on his 2012 Ford F-350 had a dead misfire. After removing the spark plug to check it, we found the tip of the spark plug had broken off after 127,000 miles. With following a routine maintenance service suggested from the manufacturer the issue could have been avoided.
