"Once again Action Auto to the rescue! I went through my NYS inspection last minute, end-of-the-month at another chain garage two months ago. While it passed inspection, they of course gave me a long list of recommended and very costly repairs that I had no interest in doing there- I wanted to book anything more complex than an inspection at Action where I always go. My Mazda 3 is a secondary car to my family, and was added to my family's fleet last year since I still have great service for my Rav4. I booked a routine oil change for the Mazda at Action last week and didn't mention the list of repairs the chain-garage had tried to swindle me with. My heroes at Action Auto did the oil change and then ran through their routine overall safety check. Not only did they not see *any* issues matching the long list of so-called problems from the other garage, they pointed out a few repairs other garages have done not that long ago that appeared to Action as never having been done! I was shocked and relieved at the same time! I must add an additional five-star review for a nuisance repair on the Mazda that my partner had put off due to dealership expense and run-around. The console with k**bs and buttons that controls the screen and all its functions broke off and fell INTO the console itself, dangling by wires and totally useless. The Mazda dealership claimed a whole new console control assembly would be needed and an extensive body repair (time and labor intensive according to Mazda). So, due to the frustration and trying to find a DIY workaround, my partner has been foregoing this for literal years with the console controller propped up top, sliding around and generally wobbly and dangling. Action basically read my mind! I never mentioned this repair or how long he'd been coping with its janky-ness or the heck he endured through the dealership. They were able to fix the console, remounting it inside the console cover with some epoxy or whatever magic adhesive and surprised me with the repair AT NO CHARGE! So, we booked the few necessary repairs Action noticed in their safety inspection, all completed that same day and the car now drives like a dream. I am truly appreciative and grateful for their honesty and expertise, as they now keep my family's two cars in tip top shape, and me and my family will go nowhere else."
