Here’s a Volkswagen transmission a customer had “REBUILT”. The shop that did the work did a decent job on everything other than fixing the issue of why it failed in the first place, the valve body! If you look at the second picture you can see the wear in the bore which causes 3rd gear to slip which is why the 3rd gear clutches are burnt (1st pic). One of the most reliable transmissions imo, 99% of the time they only fail because of the valve body.

Sorry we haven’t been on social media in a long time. Here’s another Ultrasonic cleaning rant! Here is a 10 year old carburetor that now looks like new because it was ultrasonic cleaned!
