Because, reasons. And no good ones. Wiring "repairs" like this can cause a lot more damage than most people realize. Luckily (at least to this point, and as far as I can tell) there hasn't been any major damage caused by this rats nest of wiring repairs. They have the 5V reference tied back into another circuit, from a green wire to a green/white wire. After this is fixed, I'll verify it's working properly before proceeding with the timing belt and spark plugs on this 3.0L Toyota. They had it taped up really well, it actually didn't look like it had been repaired or messed with until I pulled everything back. Wiggle testing and manipulating the harness while watching my voltages on the oscilloscope helped to pinpoint this mess.

Complaint was a check engine light, which was due to a fault in the Transmission Fluid Temp Sensor circuit.

We've been well at it for the last several weeks. The sign for the shop is ordered and should be done soon, and I'll finally be able to meet Google's silly only-one-way-method to update anything related to the Google Business page.

Hours are 8:30AM - 5:30PM, with the exception of 10:30AM start-time on Tuesdays. Service is currently by appointment only, and I am looking to bring on another technician soon!

Thank you to my Aunt Marianne T. Lambert for coming to the shop yesterday to bless the building and the equipment. Every threshold, window, and piece of equipment was prayed over. She does this for free, so if your business or family are in need of prayer, reach out to her. Also, although I am able to do this myself, as are you, it's always nice to have her there to make sure I don't miss anything; and she has a way with words that makes the whole place feel warm and fuzzy. :)

Went through a 1987 Chevy R10. Fixed a bunch of leaks, resealed the top end, timing cover, oil pan, transmission had 2 leaks that are now fixed, the driveshaft issue is resolved, worn out steering and suspension is refreshed, and here's the feedback! It'll be back in around 200 miles to go over it again as a free quality control check. She ain't lyin', either. I was really happy with how it turned out on the final test drive. This truck belonged to her late father, and it was a pleasure to breathe some life back into it for her.

I am drawing down the work at the shop on Shenandoah in order to get moved into the new shop in Goodview. Thank you for your patience during this transitional period!

Just received some great news! A customer with an Audi was having oil consumption issues. The engine was using a quart every 800 miles or so. I did a piston soak procedure, and he has since driven approximately 1100 miles and the oil level has not gone down at all. It's still at the MAX line of the dipstick, and his fuel economy is up from 18mpg to 22mpg!
