A couple going to Northern California. Customer drove down to get them.

Split case was a repair of someone else's work.

I built the rhino case around 2006 for the RKC class that we used to run. He never used it. I converted back to synchros and a way more drivable gear set. He has two old school steel side plates. I decided to bead blast them and spray clear on them to hopefully slow rust. I'm pretty happy with the results. This ended up being a big discount build again. I kept his "O" 4.12 , close 3rd and 4th and pro shift stuff. I gave him a very fair credit in my eyes and he was happy.

Here's one from the start of the week. Really nice project. Going to be a fun street car. Greg Tims built 180-200hp engine.
German 3.88. Super beetle main shaft, 1.56 3rd and 1.13 4th . Rhino case with all the good stuff.

Another fun build.

This customer traded me over 20 core transmissions towards his build. Some of his cores were high performance builds with close ratio gears and such.

He ended up with no money out of pocket.

He wanted a used threaded diff and I have plenty saved. One of his cores had Sway A Way long axle so we agreed to work into the deal to trade some used Diamond short axles I had.

I feel it was a win win for both of us.

He did not know what he was getting from me. We just discussed what he wanted and a trade value. He was so shocked when he saw what I had created for him. He kept saying "dude" "really!" Over and over. It was truly a good deal for all.

This has been a long term project but finally completed and picked up. 1963 Porsche 356SC

The housings were v***r honed. Thank you to Simo@SVauto for the quality work and fast turnaround.

It got a new taller 4th gear and an automatic torque biasing differential.

New German bearings and synchros, new cross shaft. All of the hardware is new stainless. I had to cut to fit a lot of the hardware.

I love building to customers needs, desires and budget levels.

He wanted it powder coated gloss black but the place I sent it to really did me wrong.

I use an industrial high quality paint on all of my builds. It's over $20 a spray can . So I am happy with the results.

I learned a very long time to never say, "I have seen it all". This is a Bus IRS throw out bearing shaft for a 71 and later guided bearing. They converted it to the earlier style bearing. Looks like they had to do it twice. 😜
