🐾 Meet Duncan! 🐾

At 15 years young, Duncan is looking for something wonderfully simple: a loving person to share his golden years with. ❤️

Duncan is a 12-pound Poodle/Schnauzer/Dachshund mix whose foster describes him as sweet, friendly, easygoing, joyful, and happy.

This charming senior loves mealtime, gentle pets, toys, short walks, and trying out his collection of favorite dog beds until he finds the perfect spot. He gets along well with dogs, cats, adults, and respectful older children.

Duncan is house-trained and walks nicely on leash. He may occasionally have an overnight accident but will use a p*e pad. He would be happiest with someone who is retired, works from home, or is around much of the day because he really enjoys having company. A secure fenced yard is required.

Duncan is deaf and has a grade 3 heart murmur and mild kidney disease that are currently being monitored. He eats a prescription kidney/low-sodium diet and will need continued kidney lab work and heart monitoring approximately every six months.

This sweet little gentleman isn’t asking for much—just a comfortable bed, good meals, gentle hands, and someone who will be there for him.

Winnebago is a 9-year-old, 11.5-pound Shih Tzu mix who was found abandoned at an RV park near Grants. After receiving veterinary care and good nutrition, this quirky senior is ready for a forever home.

Winnebago is loyal, loving, and happiest beside his person. He follows his people from room to room, rubs against their legs when he wants attention, and occasionally shares his opinions with a little grumble.

He loves food, treats, leisurely walks, affection, and quiet time with his person. He walks nicely on a leash, rides well in the car, climbs stairs, and jumps onto his favorite chair.

Winnebago is blind in his left eye, but it does not limit him. He was recently neutered, had nine teeth removed during a dental, and is completing antibiotics for a urinary tract and prostate infection.

House-training is progressing with frequent trips outside. During longer periods indoors, he wears a doggy diaper. He requires a secure six-foot-fenced yard and regular grooming.

Winnebago does well with dogs his size or smaller but can be bossy with larger dogs. Cats are unknown. He can live with respectful children who give him space and let him approach them.

His ideal home is calm and patient, with time for companionship and a daily walk.

🐾 Meet Boba! 🐾

Boba is a 7-year-old Pug weighing about 24 pounds, and this laid-back girl is ready for the loving home she deserves.

Boba came to Lap Dog Rescue with a serious skin condition that caused her to lose about half of her fur. She is feeling so much better now, and her beautiful coat is beginning to grow back. She is currently taking antibiotics and steroids, which her veterinarian expects she will need for approximately one more month.

Boba also has dry eye and needs artificial tears a few times each day.

Through it all, Boba has maintained her wonderful disposition. She loves going for walks and car rides, sleeping, soaking up attention, eating treats, and basking in the sunshine. She uses the dog door, isn’t a picky eater, and doesn’t guard her food or toys.

Boba would be happy as an only dog or living with canine friends. She has recently started playing with both the larger and smaller dogs in her foster home.

This sweet girl simply wants a comfortable place to call her own. Would you be willing to give Boba the chance she deserves?

Champagne is a sweet 10-year-old senior girl weighing about 9 pounds, with a heart full of love and a personality all her own.

She is a mellow little companion who enjoys peaceful days, warm laps, gentle cuddles, short walks, sunning in the yard, and spending time with her favorite people. She also takes her neighborhood watch duties seriously and will happily keep delivery drivers and nearby cats on notice!

Champagne enjoys being close to her humans while still maintaining a little independence. She can be sassy when new people arrive and is not comfortable around large dogs, so she would do best in a calm, quiet home without big dogs. Another small, older, easygoing dog could be a good match.

Calm, respectful older children may be fine, but younger children are not ideal because Champagne prefers a peaceful environment.

Champagne is housetrained, uses a magnetic screen door, and lets her people know she needs to go outside by pacing. She is microchipped, vaccinated, sterilized, and has recently received dental care.
