I seem to have good luck asking the internet for advice, so instead of ripping the poopy carpet out at home, what if I did it at the dump? WM

*This video is an AI representation of how I would theoretically go about repairing a dangerous hazard in my community as a AWS certified and insured welder that owns his own fabrication business. I would never volunteer my services, skills and tools to do unauthorized work to public infrastructure and would never leave a dangerous hazard exposed to harm another human/animal/spirit. If I was to theoretically fix such a hazard in an AI video, I theoretically have the skills necessary to perform such a task as certified from the American welding society and would leave the hazard better than I found it as my duty to being a good human and a role model for my community.*

🥺 the crusty red 85 has left the building. My first 1st gen 4runner, it was everything I ever dream it would of been. When I bought this rig, it would barely make it around the block, I was cringing the entire time the guy took me for a ride, mainly out of embarrassment for him trying to make excuses and explanations for how big of a piece of s**t it was 😂 Today I sold it as hands down the best driving Toyota I’ve ever built, my wife could drive it on the free way with one hand on the wheel, while passing cars, smooth as glass. I’d be lying if I didn’t get an instant pit in my stomach the second I signed the title, especially when I was reminded the last 3 of the vin was my birthday, which I bought this as a birthday present for myself 2 years ago 🥲 this truck was always there to hop in at any moment and it never once fussed or left me stranded. long live the crusty 85! I’ll let the new owner comment if he wants to be known! .

Post em in the comments but I genuinely don’t think there is a turn key factory efi solid axle rig out there cheaper than 8.k…. And don’t send me a stock truck that needs 3k in gears, 2k in wheels and tires, 3k in suspension/ steering and zero budget for labor.

Fun fact, I was told if I bought another truck before a ring, I was gonna get my butt kicked… well I took her to buy this tan 86 pickup without me buying a ring…. or so she thought. Before i told the guy I’ll take it, I dropped down and proposed. Fast forward a year and a half, we drove it to the wedding, I’d call that true love 😎
