Big day at the shop..our custom wheels just landed for the 1968 Camaro Resto Mod build! Designed in collaboration with our crew and the team over at Schott Wheels, these are a perfect blend of old-school rally style with a sleek modern twist 🛞🔥

Polished and powder coated, soon to be wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires, this setup is looking sharp and fits up beautifully. One step closer to bringing this beast to life 💪

🎨 Prep. Paint. Perfection. 🛠️

At Car Men Restorations, LLC in Brandonville, PA, nothing leaves the shop without being 110% dialed in. 💯 This hood is the perfect example — fully mounted to a rotisserie using its exact factory mounting points so nothing shifts, flexes, or twists. 🔧 That means we can lay down body color on the top, bottom, inside, and out all in one shot — no masking lines, no shortcuts. 💪

Before paint, we went through multiple rounds of block sanding using wet-sanding to 600 grit, and a final inspection with a soft sponge scuff. Every surface was cleaned and prepped with the same care we’d give our own cars and then some.

From primer sealer, to base coat, to high-solids Euro clear — everything was done in-house using top-tier products, precision tools, and experienced hands. 👌 Now it cures naturally before wet sanding, striping, more clear coat and final polish. 🔥

At Car Men Restorations, LLC in Brandonville, PA, we don’t just restore classics—we engineer masterpieces. This video takes you behind the scenes as we carefully remove the drivetrain from our ‘49 Buick donor car for the ongoing ‘48 Buick Super Rotisserie Build. 👇

🔒 The original motor & trans were completely frozen and locked up, so this donor was the key to keeping the project on track.

♻️ All fluids recycled, tools cleaned, and the ‘49 carefully moved back to storage—safe, efficient, and meticulous.

🔧🚗 Lug-nuts about the details! 🚗🔧

Today’s video is a textbook example of why the right tools and attention to detail matter. A customer came to us with rounded-off lug nuts from improper service — the kind that leave you stranded if you ever need to change a tire. 😤🚫

No worries — we handled it right in the driveway 💪 using lug nut extractors, upgraded to splined lugs, torqued everything to spec by hand, and finished off with anti-seize for protection. 🧰✅

Simple fix? Yes. But overlooked too often.

It’s the small things that separate repairs from restorations. 😉

👉 If you’re trusting someone with your vehicle, make sure they know a lug nut from a donut.🍩
