The engine bay has always been my favorite creative canvas. My low Mile C6 Grand Sport was due for a makeover, so I stripped down the engine bay and all the wiring to create a clean slate. I smoothed out the rough fiberglass and applied a high-build primer to eliminate any bumps. Then, I un-loomed the wiring harness and began mapping out its placement.

There was a lot of trial and error involved in getting everything in the right spot. I shortened some of the harness and extended others to make it as hidden and sanitary as possible. Once I had a solid mock-up, I removed everything for painting and powder coating, and started looming the harness.

I also made my own power and ground cables and fuel lines to cleanly route everything as stealthily as possible. The end result always speaks for itself. Upgraded the blower and added a smaller pulley. Added a Dewitt’s dual fan setup, mechman alternator and proform Chevrolet valve covers for the chefs kiss.

Another stunning 964 Porsche has arrived at the shop, and we’ve installed a Porsche PCCM radio in it. This PCCM radio is a fantastic upgrade for these cars. Wrapping up my own Heads/ cam C6 Grand sport after upgrading to a fresh, larger Vortech Engineering Inc. 🏁 unit with smaller pulley, new fuel system from Holley Performance and a complete engine bay make over. I smoothed out the engine bay, shot it in my favorite, Rallye black, tucked and modified all the wiring and added a bunch of custom touches. Once it’s wrapped up it will be going to my good fiend Larry Kosilla for a full detail and fresh precision PPF treatment

This 1977 Corvette received an engine bay makeover. The car arrived with a rough looking engine bay and even rougher running engine with poor throttle response. To address these issues, we replaced the old intake manifold and carburetor with a new Edelbrock manifold and Holley carburetor. Since the distributor was already out, we rebuilt and recurved it for maximum power and driveability. After cleaning and painting the engine and engine bay, we also cleaned up some wiring. To complete the transformation, we installed a new aluminum radiator, a set of long tube Ho**er headers, and a custom exhaust system.

I’m preparing some new engine parts for painting. Over the years, I’ve painted numerous engine, brake, and suspension parts using Base/clear paint. These paints are incredibly durable and can withstand significant wear and tear. While I don’t use spray paint on any of my builds because it doesn’t offer the same quality and longevity as a true Base/clear setup, these tips will be applicable regardless of the paint method you choose.
