Hey there guys and gals, on behalf of all of us at Floyd's, we hope that you all take a second to appreciate why we have a long weekend. Why we gained an extra day of rest. A day on the lake, a day with friends and family... The reason being loss. Memorial Day is a day to remember. A day to remember all those lives given to protect what we all work so hard for. Although this is considered a holiday, it's not all celebration. It's about honor, freedom, and unfortunately, loss. Hey Gang! What's happening on this rainy Wednesday?? Here at the shop it's business as usual, swapping motors in Buicks, re-timing Nissan's, and of course, our favorite thing to do, which is Classic cars and Trucks!!! Had a treat today, Mr Randy Peacock brought his baby to us, a '75 F250 "Highboy" that we've affectionately named, MONGO! Sportin' FE power, a 4-spd, 37" Rubber, and a lift kit, this truck is the epitome of '70s truck bad-ass-ery! 🤣 Only minor surgery was needed, but MONGO made several steps back toward daily-driver/tow vehicle for his owner today, and we're proud to say we'll be assisting Randy where ever is needed in the restoration of this mighty work truck!! Check out the light work!! Sorry bout the language!! 😎😎😎😜🤬.

Today was a Fun Day! Mr. Devin Lloyd brought his super-ultra-badass and MOSTLY HOME-BUILT Toyota 4Runner down to us today to get his 37" Mudders on some Bead-Lock wheels! Big Petey showed us the "Art" of "Tire-knocking" and then cinched down the locks! After that we went and rescued another old Ford that's been laying in the woods for several years, and not getting restored but donating several useful parts to Ole' Floyd himself, who's been awaken from his slumber to get back to work! Upgrades are always a good idea for classic car or truck. Here at Floyd's we're ALL about keeping the classics on the road, so anything we can do to improve driveability or safety we jump at the chance! In this case it's John Hopwood's gorgeous '79 Ford F-250 4x4! Today we're installing some Rear Disc brakes to slow this baby down after throttling down this cammed- big-block... Beautiful truck good sir! We love having the opportunity to work on it!
As Saturday draws to a close we get a straggler in before we throw the locks, reminding us another busy week is on the horizon.... Big shout out to Steve at Rush Towing for getting them there safely and quickly! Y'all have a great weekend!!
