It is with great sadness that we have learned about the passing of Thomas Perry in April of this year.

Thomas was a dedicated and meticulous instructor, and well loved by his students. He was a fixture at Club Nautique for over 2 decades, and was fundamental in helping to shape Club Nautique into the premier offshore sailing program in the US.

8 bells for our dear friend and colleague, Thomas Perry. You are missed.

On a gray day last week one of our club members chartered a boat to take in the start of the Pac Cup race. The boats had good wind going out under the gate.

Our first Hump Night of the season went off fabulously, with great weather, and good wind. This crew of sailors enjoyed sailing Rex, our Jeanneau 490.

Come join us on Wednesday evenings starting at 5pm for more Hump Night sailing. Cost is $45 for members, and $65 for non-members and includes a light supper.

LATITUDE 38 - A new story about Group Nautique appears in the July issue of L38. We are happy to throw off the dock lines and get underway.

Come over to Brickyard Cove in Point Richmond to check out the fleet, and sign up for classes and charters.

Come join us for a sail on the 4th of July!

We'll be taking out Rex, our 49' Jeanneau for two sails on the 4th to celebrate the 250th anniversary of our Declaration of Independence. Arnstein Mustad, Group Nautique's Commodore and Senior Instructor, will be at the helm.

The morning sail leaves at 11:00 and returns at 15:00, and includes lunch and non-alcoholic beverages. We'll be touring the Bay and flying a big flag! $95 per person.

The evening sail leaves at 17:00 and returns at 23:00, and we'll be in a front row position to view the Fireworks display over the water. Appetizers, dinner and non-alcoholic beverages are included. $160 per person.
