Fun fact. Clessie Cummins was not only the founder of the first commercialized diesel engine (no, not the very first diesel engine ever built) but he also invented the Jake Brake. Cummins as a company rejected his offer to begin producing it. So He partnered with Jacobs who began manufacturing it for him and it was later installed on the Cummins engine
