I want to address this myself publicly because our team is simply following what I have asked them to do.
I have asked them to park on the street as a courtesy to our customers and to avoid unnecessarily using or blocking their driveways, unless the customer has given prior consent for us to park in their driveway. As long as street parking is allowed, that is what they will continue to do.
Of course, there are exceptions, which is why I said “unnecessarily using or blocking.” If it’s a major highway, there isn’t a safe place to park, street parking would put them a great distance from the home, or parking there would block someone else’s driveway or mailbox, I expect them to use their best judgment.
Our guys don’t make these policies, so please don’t take it up with them or leave notes on their vehicles simply because you don’t like someone parking on a public street. The policies our guys follow while doing their jobs are decisions I make as one of the owners of this company.
