After an action-packed two-day race weekend last week, there isn't any time to slow things down!

Mainely Karting will host all 6 weekly divisions PLUS the Mini Cups the Sunday, June 7th, which is presented by Signet Monogramming.

The Box Stock spotlight feature has been postponed due to rain not once, but twice this season. Our Magic 8 ball is telling us that Sunday will FINALLY be the night that these young drivers get to shine -- there is nothing quite like following in the footsteps of our local short tracks with extended feature racing (Who doesn't like extra laps?!) and interviews on the front stretch following the race!

The gates will swing open at 9:00 am, followed by practice at 10:30 and heat races at 12:00 noon.

As always, spectator admission is $15 while the driver fee is $40.

Come on out to LST Motorsports Park this Sunday afternoon for SEVEN divisions of karting fun!

The Mainely Karting crew hit the road and took their talents to Wiscasset Speedway last Saturday, kicking off 2 days of racing fun.

While a handful of competitors had their karts on display in the main concourse area and helped hand out trophies to the night's winners in Victory Lane, the Sr. and Master Champ Karts hit the big track for a 25-lap mixed exhibition race.

Mike Ramsey led the charge coming into the final lap, but Parker Doucette took the opportunity to strike in the final turn, picking up the win.

The top 3 for the Sr. Champ Karts consisted of Parker Doucette, Jon McConologue and Bryce Picard while Mike Ramsey, Darren Doucette and Pete Whitten made up the top 3 in the Master Champ Karts.

With undesirable weather on the horizon for Sunday, track owners Steve Perry and Debbie Dore saw a window of opportunity and sprang into action, shifting the program to one round of practice followed by feature racing only.

The Jr. Box Stocks continue to grow and learn, and 8 drivers led the way on Sunday, with 4 finishing on the lead lap. These young drivers continue to impress each and every week and the finishes keep getting closer and closer, which is a perfect steppingstone to advancing to a competitive division in the future!

The Box Stocks had one of the biggest fields of the day, featuring many recent graduates of the Jr. Box Stock division. Multi-generational driver Hudson Childs hammered down, separating himself from the competition as the laps wound down, beating out William Ham and Stella Smiley for the win.

Cole Talon and Bentley Tarr had the crowd on their feet in the 25-lap feature for the Jr. Sportsman division. Talon reigned victorious yet again, edging out Tarr at the line by a mere .219 seconds.

Mike Ramsey has been the king of the Master Champ division all season, but he was finally dethroned on Sunday as James Doucette took the crown. "Brick" didn't let it get him down, as he immediately turned around and scored a commanding (near 6 second deficit) win in the Winged Champ division.

The Sportsman division really showed out on race day with a 12-car field. It was another barn burner that came down to the wire, and Rex Reynolds was able to secure the victory over Owen Michaels and Jocelyn Day, who made her first podium appearance of the season.

Andrew Rogers, who also had a solid showing on Saturday at Wiscasset Speedway, was able to get one over Welker Reynolds in the Sr. Champ Karts, scoring the feature victory.

With the help and cooperation of the team and many competitors, Sunday's racing went off without a hitch, and the Mainely Karting family is truly proud of everyone's efforts!

We'll hit the track again this Sunday, June 7th, for another full program featuring the Mini Cups -- the green flag flies at 12:00 noon!

Race #6 Presented by Signet Monogramming will go green for practice this Sunday at 10:30. Qualifying at 12:00 and Feature racing at 2:00.

The weather has bested us twice when attempting to get the Box Stock spotlight feature in but hopefully this weekend is different. Also joining us on Sunday will be the Mini Cups for their second event of the year.

$15 for spectators but ages 3-8 are only $5 this year so bring the whole family out for a great day of racing at Maine's premiere asphalt competition karting facility.

After studying the weather and talking to the officials & numerous teams in Attendance at Wiscasset the decision has been made to go for it on Sunday for the Mckeage's Top Gun Roofing Event. We will call an audible although and change the program up to give us the best chance to get the entire event in. It will be 1 round of practice and right into feature action so be ready to start racing in the 11:15-11:30 range

It's going to be a busy race weekend, with the excitement kicking off TOMORROW at Wiscasset Speedway as Mainely Karting takes over (and takes on) Maine's biggest and fastest track!

Steve Perry will be on the mic throughout the night; a handful of karts will be on display in the main concourse area, and the Champ Karts will be taking to the track for some exhibition races as well!

The green flag flies at 5:00 pm on Saturday and adult grandstand admission is $5 while kids 6 and under get in for FREE.

Following all of the racing fun on Saturday night, we'll head back over to LST Motorsports Park on Sunday for our regularly scheduled program, which is presented by our friends over at McKeage's Top Gun General Construction.

The green flag flies at 12:00 noon and the Troy Morse Concrete &Trucking Box Stocks will be the spotlight division with a 25-lap feature and interviews with the top 3 finishers on the frontstretch following the feature.

The Sr. Champ Karts, Jr. Box Stocks, Jr. Sportsman, Sportsman, Masters Champ and Winged Champs will also be a part of the loaded race program.

Spectator admission is just $15 while the driver fee is $40.

Come on over to LST Motorsports Park on Sunday afternoon for some fast, family-friendly racing fun!

To all of our competitors attending Wiscasset Speedway tomorrow:

Pit Gates open at 1:00 and we need to be setup on the infield by 2:00 so please get there with enough time to get out onto the track before practice starts.

If you plan to display your kart, please arrive at the main gate by the grandstands between 2:00 and 2:30. We need to be setup before the VIP members are let in at 3:00.

It looks like rain should clear by the afternoon but come prepared to keep your equipment dry if we do have to battle the elements.

Mainely Karting hosted their first night race of the 2026 season last Friday, welcoming 6 divisions of racing fun!

The Jr. Box Stock division continues to grow, and some new drivers joined the crowd on Friday night. Those drivers included "Mad Max" Max St. Clair, whose father Josh St. Clair went on to win his third Coastal 200 on Saturday. Max is going to be a great addition to the Mainely Karting family and will continue to grow his family's racing roots in Coastal Maine.

Owen Wright snagged a commanding victory over Wyatt Colton and Karson Gervais in the Box Stocks, topping the nearest competitor by over one second. Meanwhile, we saw a new name at the top of the leaderboard in the Jr. Sportsman division in Bentley Tarr, who scored the checkered after a close battle with Jackson Corbeau.

Unfortunately, after a very impressive start to the season with 3 runner-up finishes, Corbeau will be sidelined from this Sunday's competition
following an off-track injury. In true racer's fashion, he will still be at the track helping and cheering on his fellow competitors and friends.

Veteran Mike Ramsey continued to put on a clinic in the Master Champ karts, but Friday's race was tighter than it has been all season, with Ramsey beating Matt Gillie to the line by a mere .099 seconds. Not only that, the top 3 finishers finished within one second of each other!

The Sportsman division also put on quite the show. While Rex Reynolds snagged another win in the division, it wasn't without some hard work as Owen Michaels and Ben Doucette were right there - yet another race with some close, hard-fought racing that truly came down to the wire.

Oliver Quinney dominated the 25-lap Sr. Champ race in spectacular fashion - the largest margin of victory on the night. He topped the nearest competitor by almost 3 seconds, sailing into the sunset with the checkered flag.

The fun continues this weekend with Mainely Karting Night on Saturday at Wiscasset Speedway, followed by a full Sunday afternoon program at LST Motorsports Park.

The green flag flies at 5:00 on Saturday -- see you there!
