Well, this definitely wasn’t the weekend we had planned! 🏁
We decided to try something different and head up to Hub City Dirt Drags in Richland Center, WI, to compete against some trucks we don’t normally get the opportunity to pull with.
With a stacked field of 25 Pro Street trucks, we were excited to see how we would measure up against some different competition!
Friday night, we made it about halfway through the class before the sled broke. After about an hour of trying to get things repaired, it became clear that it just wasn’t going to happen. Everyone agreed to come back Saturday morning at 11 AM and finish what we started.
That sounded simple enough… until we had to drive all the way back to Madison just to find a hotel room, get about four hours of sleep, and turn around and make the drive right back to Richland Center. 😴
But we weren’t about to give up that easily!
Unfortunately, after all that effort, our truck decided it wasn’t interested in participating Saturday morning. We gave it our best shot, but sometimes the equipment has other plans.
To say we’re a little bummed would be an understatement. A lot of driving, very little sleep, and certainly not the result we were hoping for.
That’s motorsports, though. You put in the time, money, and effort, and sometimes things just don’t go your way.
We appreciate everyone who worked to get the show back on track Friday night and gave us another opportunity to compete Saturday.
Not the ending we wanted, but that’s part of racing. We’ll figure out what went wrong, make the necessary changes, and come back stronger! 💪
