I'm going to get on a soapbox for a minute. I will start off by saying 99.9999% of the people who come to this show (and most shows) are courteous, polite, and respectful of other peoples property. While going through the photos for the car show this year, these two images caught my attention. The gray truck is my father's, and the blue one is mine. I figured I would leave it be and see if anyone else noticed. Others noticed.

One of the cardinal rules of a car show is you don't touch other people's vehicles. PERIOD. Unless the vehicle owner is there and gives you permission, never touch it, regardless of what you perceive it's condition to be in. None of the people touching and using my father's truck as their leaning post are my dad, or even know my dad.

The person using my front bumper as a footrest and my fender as a place to put his mitts is most certainly not me. I have no idea who he is; never seen him before. Is my truck a s**t box? Yep, but it's MY s**t box, not yours! Then I learned that the foot fe**sh fella was also leaning against a friend's gorgeous crew cab while he was talking to him and when asked to not do it, acted like a jerk.

So, if you are any of these people and can follow some simple, common sense rules, please come back to the show next year. If you cannot, please find a different one to go to because you are not welcome here.

To end on a positive note, these people are a very small minority of the car show community, and I know that. I appreciate each and every one of you who is able to attend and I cannot thank you enough for sharing your rides and stories with others at my show. Thank you.

-Andy
