***HUGE change for the 2027 Show!!!***
I've wanted to do this for a few years and now I'm finally ready to make it happen...For 2027, I will be adding a cruise prior to the show!! The exact route is still TBD, however the current plan is to have the "Back The Blue Car Show" go from 10a-2p, however if you are interested in taking part in the cruise, we will begin lineup for that at roughly 9am. At 10am sharp, we will leave the VP Fuels parking lot and head out on a roughly 80 mile cruise, driving past each police department in Barron County, along with the sheriff's department, and then return to the show grounds around 12p.
The route will be pre-determined with maps and directions, so you can enter and exit the cruise at any point along the route if you prefer. This will also provide a moving car show for spectators to enjoy if they want to camp out along the route. Additionally, there will be a "cruisers only" raffle prize drawing for people who complete the entire cruise. I'm still working on the best way to execute this, but as of now I'm planning on having a stamp card that you can have stamped at each department along the route. That completed card will be your entry into the drawing.
If you would prefer to not participate in the cruise, the traditional car show experience will still be an option as the grounds will be open as it has been in the past. You can park, enjoy your fellow enthusiast's rides and have a front row seat for the moving show when the cruise returns!
I will be reaching out over the next few months for some volunteers to help make this happen.
If you're asking, "Why change it?", it's pretty simple actually... I built my truck to drive it, not just look at it, and I know a lot of others have too. IMO, 4+ hour car shows are getting meh and I want to provide the opportunity to have a different experience with my show. Plus, I think this will be pretty darn fun. More to come!
