NASCAR NEWS: Sad news to report, the driver of the David Gilliland Racing - DGR hauler Steven Stotts was killed when the hauler had an accident enroute to Phoenix Raceway towing the ARCA RACING SERIES car.

Two other passengers John Zaverl and Michael Mizzelle are in stable condition.

The crowd of about 150 people at Lernerville Speedway on Wednesday afternoon was quiet until the roar of the sprint car owned by the late Brandon D. “B-Dog” Hawkins brought applause and tears. A popular local race car driver, Brandon Hawkins, 26, of Bell Township, was a union laborer who

We will be hosting a special tribute for the late Brandon Hawkins on Wednesday, July 29 at 12:45 pm as Brandon's car will take place in a final lap ceremony at Lernerville with our pace truck on the track as well. All fans are invited to attend as we pay tribute to Brandon.

Also, this Friday night drivers will be taking part in the grandstands with a helmet pass with all proceeds going to Brandon's family in this time of need.
