Base System is to replace the factory Yamaha ECM and Wiring Harness with all new components for an aviation type application. This new EFI system utilizes the Haltech S2 ECM along with a brand new custom built aviation grade wiring harness. All harnesses are built in-house with Tefzel wire and are wrapped from the firewall forward. This new Haltech system adds features of Fuel Trimming / “Auto Tune” via NTK Wideband O2 Sensor to WOT along with Long Term Fuel Trims “Learn” that is customer accepted, IAT Spark compensation, FULL onboard data logging and Tuning. The factory IACV is also used for great cold weather starts and smooth & consistent idle. Engine monitoring can be done via laptop but NO Dash / EMS is included in base system. Personal project on the Dyno. My late Father's (1-20-2025) BBC 427cid for his 1973 Mandella V-Drive Boat. My son Jacob and I are doing a mild restoration / upgrade. Headers and Valve Covers are only for dyno tuning. We are embracing the "vibe" of old school sky boats of the Parker Strip in the early 1970's. Upgrades including aluminum AFR 305 heads, Tunnel Ram w/dual Holleys, new diamond stitched upholstery, NOS Stewart Warner gauges, moving engine forward 4in, and, and, and. BOAT = Break Out Another Thousand is holding true.😁

Ran a 5.3L with the TSP Chopacabra cam on the dyno yesterday and it lives up to the claims. I was actually surprised to see it make good torque over a pretty broad range and to get a legit 400HP out of a Gen3 5.3L Vortec is not easy. It has a VERY distinct lope and would be a lot of fun in a C10, 4L60, 2500 stall converter, and a 4.10 rear gear for example. Also note: This was a 2000 (24 year old) 185k mile engine we also did our "Freshen Up" kit on, Upgraded trunnion bearing rocker arms and pushrods, and fresh Injector Rx cleaned & flowed injectors.
