IT’S CALLED TEAMWORK – A prior customer came in, only to find that his usual representative was away. Just like family, another sales professional stepped up. The project involved getting a ’69 Dodge Dart up to speed to give to the customer’s son. With the same sense of family and attention to detail, we put together a great system consisting of Kicker LX amps, AudioControl speakers and a Sony radio in an under-dash kit. Our skilled install tech did a great job on the kick panel and back-package-tray speakers. We had this Dart pounding with a pair of Kicker CompQ 10 subwoofers! ROCKIN’ THE DUNES – The owner of a Polaris Pro RZR came in with a factory-stock sound system. This is his second RZR, and the owner called the current system “very underwhelming,” complaining that it distorted when turned up. He asked about adding additional speakers and an amp to bring up the total volume and clarity. Because we work on a lot of similar toys, knew exactly what to add to really bring this Polaris to life. We installed the AudioControl ACX300.4 UTV amplifier to deliver clean power and linked it to two pairs of Kicker 45KM654L marine speakers. We installed one pair in a door pod that was made by SSV Works and installed the second pair in 6.5-inch cage pods that mount to the roll bar. Upon completion our customer said this is exactly what he was looking for. He left excited to hit the trails and let everyone hear what a RZR should sound like. Stealth audio isn’t just for luxury vehicles. At our Reno location, we had a customer come in looking to get the best sounding bass possible while not taking up too much space in his work truck. We were able to get him just that. All it took is the perfect fit of JL Audio dual 10TW1 subwoofer enclosure. These JL Audio stealthboxes are a perfect combination of features. They are made specifically for the vehicle and fit like a glove. Plus, they are tuned specifically for that vehicle and deliver the finest sound quality possible. At its heart are subwoofers using a "concentric tube" structure built into the injection-molded cone body. This structure permits the placement of a large motor structure further forward in the speaker than with conventional designs. From this point, we had to think of what amp and source unit would be the absolute best fit for this build. We ended up going with a JL Audio HD750/1 mono amplifier. Tight power supply regulation in this JL Audio amp keeps distortion down and maximizes bass quality. It is all controlled by the Kenwood Excelon DDX6906s receiver with 6.8-inch monitor. Here at Audio Express in Reno, we had the owner of a 1955 Chevy Two Ten come in, looking to get a new radio while keeping the original look. He also wanted to add more sound by installing a new speaker system. After looking at lots of options, the manager and the vehicle owner agreed on the perfect system for this beautiful classic! We started by pre-wiring and mounting a Kenwood Exelon KFCX694 and KFCX174 speakers in the rear deck lid as well as in the front console before this beautiful beast got sent out for upholstery! These 6.5 and 6x9 speakers feature injection-molded polypropylene cones and soft dome tweeters to give our customer a rich music experience for years to come. When we got this beauty back in the shop, we added the Retro Manufacturing Laguna radio to complete the tunes in this custom show car! We had a customer come in with a brand new Subaru looking to upgrade his car audio system. A customer brought in a 2012 Honda Civic SI looking to upgrade her car audio system with some bass. The crew started by replacing the factory car stereo with a JVC KWV250BT Double Din Bluetooth Touch Screen Radio. For bass, the experts decided to use all Kicker car audio products starting with the newest and strongest edition of subwoofers; a 42CWQ122 dual 2ohm 1100rms power hungry 12 inch subwoofer in a custom box built and tuned to specification for optimal performance. The customer stated she will be getting a Gucci fabric wrap for her custom box down the road. We had a gentleman bring in a 2016 Toyota Tacoma looking to overhaul his car audio system while keeping his factory car stereo. A 2010 Nissan Altima’s factory radio was starting to fail in multiple ways. So when the owner was ready to replace his car stereo, he stopped in to see our staff at our Reno location. Our crew members listened to his needs that consisted of a new radio that included Bluetooth. Our experts recommended and installed a JVC KWR935BTS Touch Screen Radio because not only is it easy to use but is something that looks great in the dashboard of his vehicle. Amongst the recommendation of the JVC car stereo, the experts also suggested adding a SXV300V1 SiriusXM satellite tuner so he would have more radio station options no matter where he was driving. Our audio lover loved the idea and SiriusXM but never thought about adding it to his car. His favorite radio station is the 60’s, so when he was offered to add the satellite radio it was a no brainer to have it installed as well. The audio lover who purchased this nice brand new 2019 Cam-AM didn’t want to pay the ridiculously high prices at the dealership to add a sound system and LED lighting to his toy. Instead, he headed over to our Reno location for all his needs at a fraction of the price. Kicker’s 43CX35 is a perfect complete 5 speaker system setup that includes an amp and radio to make any Cam-AM LOUD while out playing in the middle of nowhere. The 43CX35 gave our experts everything needed from a radio, to speakers with mounting pods, a single 10 inch subwoofer and all the wiring as well. To light up this nice toy, our experts installed two sets of Race Sport RSMKIT under the hood, under each front seat, and behind the rear seats so at night everyone riding along can easily enter and exit the Cam-AM.
