Join me in congratulating Jim Chen on 50 years of service in the South Bay. This milestone anniversary is not a norm in the automotive industry. Awesome job Jim!
Jim incorporated Independent Repair in 1974. A Honda car specialist one of only a handful Jim turned Independent Repair into one of the most successful auto service centers in the country.
New for 2024 after 50 years Jim has offically retired and turned the business over to me. I intern will invite key employees to join me in ownership in 2024.
I have so many memories with Jim over the last 39 years. I started off as a technician in 1985 and in 1987 took on the job of primary service advisor. In 1988 I stepped up to GM. Jim has been my mentor and friend and will continue to be my advisor.
What is the greatest thing Jim did to last 50 years? He never took advantage of clients. We only did what the cars needed. Safe and Dependable is the moto. Ethics, Honesty, Loyalty and Integrity is how I will remember Jim for the rest of my life.
Thank you Jim Chen for all the years good and bad. For your loyalty and your gift of the shop to us to continue serving our loyal clients and friend.
