Rockwood and Flagstaff are sister brands built by the same Forest River division, with many models sharing essentially the same floorplans, construction and features.

I hear it all the time:

“How much are you giving me for my trade?”

The better question is:

“What’s my total cost to upgrade?”

Some dealerships can make a trade allowance look amazing by simply charging more for the new trailer. Others may offer a lower trade value because they’ve already discounted the new RV thousands of dollars.

At the end of the day, it’s the bottom-line number that matters.

Don’t get caught chasing the highest trade allowance. Compare the entire deal:
✅ Purchase price
✅ Trade value
✅ Fees
✅ Taxes
✅ Final amount out the door

The only number that affects your wallet is the difference between what you’re paying and what you’re receiving.

Customer: “What’s your absolute best price?” I gave the customer my dealer invoice price to sell a 2026 model year.

You know what happens next?

They counteroffer… even lower. 😅

The funny part is they don’t even realize they’re already looking at a fantastic deal.

It reminds me that people don’t always know what something is really worth—they just assume there’s more room to negotiate because that’s how the RV industry has trained them.
