Its been a roller coaster of a year for our Familia
We still feel the Love and support of this great community that we call home. Not only in Redding but throughout the Northstate. Alexs impact and sudden loss is still being felt. We have struggled in more ways than we can count. Through these tough times we have learned that We are not alone. We have support and Love from the community. These are just some of the photos that show that We are not alone in our grief. ❤️🪽.

Brave. Determined. Encouraging. Courageous. Hopeful. Those were just a few of the words used to describe the 19 students recognized at SCOE’s 9th annual Every Student Succeeding luncheon today. These resilient students have faced challenges including poverty, homelessness, illness, and trauma, yet they rewrote their own stories, turning obstacles into opportunities and setbacks into strength.

“You are not what happened to you. I love how you have stepped into the spaces you are in, and you move with compassion to help other people,” Shasta County Schools Superintendent Mike Freeman told the honorees. “The recipe here is tried and true. Show up, ask for help, give help, and the world is yours. There is no limit to the things you can do.”

The students were accompanied by some of the caring adults in their lives - teachers, school staff, and family members who believed in them, saw their potential and helped them uncover it. Students received a keepsake award and will receive a sweatshirt of their choice from any of the colleges or universities that are part of the Shasta Promise, courtesy of the Association of California School Administrators' Shasta County Chapter.

“I love the resiliency and the grit of this group. Resilience is one of those things that really successful people have, and you guys have it,” said Chapter President Ryan Miller. “It’s like a superpower, and I’m so proud to be here in this room with you, being able to take a moment to celebrate you.”

Congratulations to these remarkable young people!

Alex was more than his athleticism. He was a competitor even in the class room. He had a desire to be the best and he expected others to feel the same. He found his forever home....1st at Parsons Tigers then at his beloved Enterprise Hornets. During this time Alex made lifetime friends, mentors, coaches and teachers that he respected and in turn earned their respect and love. Small gestures make big impressions. Alex lived his life full of Love and respect for other. From opening the door for others, playing barbies with his buddy, to just asking someone how their day is going. Alex made other people feel appreciated, seen, heard, even Loved. Alexs Love and respect for Life was contagious. Being around Alex just made you want to do better. His leadership didnt come naturally, it didnt come because he was talented. It came from others who believed in Alex's mentality. Alex's heart and soul was "We not Me"

This court has been a constant friend and companion to My Boyz and recently to myself.
Many hours have been spent here. Brothers competing, growing, laughing, making lasting memories that make their bond stronger. It has been a friend and therapist to many of us.
We had to retire the original rim. It has seen some rough days as well. New rim, net and Alex's 4.

Huge Thank you for all the Love , compassion, and support we have received from our Families and communities. From Jr Hornets, Shasta High, Foothill, Redding Christian, Redding Recreaction and his beloved Enterprise Hornets. The Love that was showed to Alex from the community was incredible and really showed Alex's character on and off the field.
