Passport Mobile RV Works is back in the Red Cloud NE area for only a few days then heading back to CO for a couple quick repairs on customer rigs. Then back to NE before heading to the next park.

Complaint: No hot water.
Application: 20 gallon electric water heater in a Park Model (Destination) RV. Still under warranty period.
Diagnosis: Hmmm? Bad heating element. No ohms value or continuity when tested but does have a good 121 volts supply.
Repair: Removed failed heating element, found to be a bit difficult with the element tube bent at a 90 degree angle when it is supposed to bent back over itself like the new one.
Conclusion: Customer will hopefully get heating element replaced under warranty. Recommended multi-stage filter system and or water softener to help deal with the calcium as well as further evaluation of water heater.
