It’s the little things.

SmartCarbs are hand-built by professional technicians right here in Missouri. One part of the process involves turning the choke k***s for a perfect fit into our 36, 38, and 40mm size SC3s.

If you want it done right you gotta do it yourself. Keeping QC and assembly in-house ensures every SmartCarb we sell is perfect and ready to go right out of the box.

Legacy. 59 years of it.

The SmartCarb represents the pinnacle of nearly 60 years of development of the American metering rod carburetor concept pioneered by inventor William “Red” Edmonston.

From the beginning, Red doggedly pursued the notion that a single fuel circuit wasn’t only possible, but ideal. In his pursuit, he stepped forward and beyond earlier carburetor designs and their limitations, culminating with an early form of the SmartCarb late in life.

SmartCarb Fuel Systems founder, Corey Dyess, had the good fortune to work with Red then and, with help from family and a core team of engineers, designers, and riding enthusiasts, has continued over nearly two decades to advance and refine the technology to where it is today: used by top factory pros, championship winning athletes, land speed record holders, and tens of thousands of customers worldwide.

We didn’t just inherit a legacy. We’ve engineered its future.
