Got the Javelin back from the transmission shop. Drove home no problem, now has a small stall converter and a shift kit. Highly recommend RAMM transmission in Raymore, Missouri. Terra there rebuilds all of my transmissions, she does excellent work, and quick.

The rebuild process of an 8F35 out of a 2020 Lincoln Corsair from last week. Along with the usual overhaul kit and torque converter, we put in an updated pump and input shaft, new planetaries and a new selectable one-way clutch, both of which are prone to going bad, and a new valve body with electronics and the latest software update.

The rebuild process of a 246 transfer case that the bearings, steels, clutches, range fork, and planetary went bad in because of the fluid leaking out from a hole rubbed into the case by the oil pump. We replaced all bad parts including the case half and chain and put in an updated BRNY clip.

Rebuilding a 5R55S that lost reverse. We replaced the reverse band, overdrive hub, input sprag, and overdrive planet as well as the bearing that rides between the two. The pictures show the broken band and pits forming from the bearing going bad. Along with an overhaul kit, all new clutches, a new torque converter, and replacing any steels with heat marks; we always replace the intermediate and overdrive pistons, drill out the servo bores, and put in Sonnax sleeves since they're prone to wearing out. 5R55 transmissions are usually quoted at approximately $2,000.
