Market Place Scams on tires!!!! This is set number 5 this year. These tires were purchased for $150.00 for the set . Make sure you inspect before you purchase. These tires are 23 years old.
* the last 3 to 4 numbers of your DOT is the manufacturers date. 7 years is most commonly the oldest that tire shops will mount.
* weather cracking look at sidewalls and in between tread blocks.
* run flat, look for chunks of rubber on the inside of the tire or discoloration on the sidewall.
* inspect the bead for cracks and cuts
* pinhole in the sidewall.
* check for nails or rocks inside of the tire.
* if you have a all wheel drive vehicle check the tread depth and make sure they follow the vehicles manufacturer requirements for tires.
* do they have the correct load rating for your vehicle.
* always keep in mind the people that owned these tires previously. Removed them for a reason.
