Chase Elliott drove the No. 9 LLumar Chevrolet for a series of firsts and milestones at a rainy Circuit of the Americas (COTA) course on Sunday. Elliott's win marked the first win as part of the Hendrick Motorsports and LLumar brand sponsorship and his first win this season after winning the NASCAR Cup Series Championship in 2020. It also was the inaugural win for a NASCAR event at the COTA track.

The win tied Hendrick Motorsports with Richard Petty Motorsports for most wins in the NASCAR Cup Series with 268 wins and gave Chevrolet their 800th win.

This season Elliott has run the No. 9 LLumar Chevrolet in two races and finished second and first. He currently ranks 5th in points for the season. The LLumar brand has gained significant exposure nationally during the race broadcasts and on social media with strong finishes by the reigning NASCAR Cup Series champion.
