Hard to believe it’s already October! This past month has been pretty busy, I had over 20 appointments/services completed. Nothing world-changing, but a lot for me!

Here’s a few random pics of things from the past month. I didn’t take the time to photograph every bike that I worked on like I said I would (to myself). But that’s okay, sometimes you just get busy and forget little details like that.

The last picture is of a property that was recommended to me for a shop, and I do like some aspects about it, but I’m still a long way from being able to open a place.

is this weekend! Looking forward to seeing all the friendly faces and rad bikes! Should be an excellent fun time

Wanted to extend a big thank you to for keeping me busy! You guys have all been great to work with, and I appreciate each and every one of you!

Let’s keep after it!

Come see me and the Lazy KZ at Art Moto Fest 2025 in Raleigh, NC!

I have officially been invited to attend, and my bike will be in the ā€œResurrectionsā€ category, along with being in consideration for People’s Choice and Best In Show!

The event runs October 3-5, and more information can be found at artmoto.com

The carbs on the KZ will occasionally leak fuel like a friggin’ faucet, without much recourse beyond just shutting it down and trying again later.

The problem lies with the o-rings on the fuel inlet tubes. When the bike sits for a few days without being started up, the fuel evaporates and the o-rings shrink a bit, probably because of the ethanol content or something.

So yesterday I decided to take the time to tear the carbs all the way back down to confirm there’s no crud in the jets, and replace those o-rings. To my surprise, however, the jets were clean other than a little tarnish, and the o-rings were still pliable and round. So rather than replace them (I didn’t have any better quality ones anyway) I applied some o-ring grease to them and put it all back together.

The grease is supposed to condition them and help them seal more consistently. Also I put new ones in back when I first bought the bike in 2021.

So far so good, did a short ride yesterday and a short ride today, no leaks. Next step is gonna be replacing them with flat slide carbs but they cost more than the purchase price of the bike so it’s a tough pill to swallow. Also can’t afford them at present.

Business is slow at the moment, so if you’re looking to get some maintenance/repairs done, hit me up!

Here’s a picture from the Handbuilt Show that didn’t get a lot of screen time, mostly because I look like a crazy person and I did not do a great job framing anything, lol. Anyway! This is me with David from .co ! Super cool guy, he took the time to come hang out and talk with me, even though I’m sure he was very busy that day. He was very kind and complimentary about my bike, and I could tell that he’s into this stuff for all the right reasons.
gives just gave away a super cool ā€˜86 Suzuki GSX, and they’re always hosting amazing giveaways that support some amazing charitable causes. If you’re not already, you should give them a follow!
